This is the time of year when lasers and optics professionals gear up for SPIE Photonics West, the annual optics and photonics exhibition and conference powerhouse in San Francisco, CA. This year's event, which will begin on Saturday, January 27th and end on February 1st, will stay on trend with recent years, with more than 20,000 attendees from all over the world and over 1300 exhibitors expected.

The Biomedical Optics Symposium (BiOS) exhibit (BiOS Expo) will be open January 27-28, with plenty of offerings for use in imaging, diagnostics, and therapeutics; biosensors; and other biomedical devices, components, instrumentation, and systems. The Photonics West Exhibition, to run January 30th through February 1st, will showcase plenty of laser systems, optoelectronic components, and numerous devices and technologies for photonics manufacturing and research.
