KMLabs to display optical parametric amplifier at SPIE BiOS and Photonics West 2018

Jan. 12, 2018
The Y-Fi OPA vertically integrated, collinear optical parametric amplifier is pumped by the company's Y-Fi HP.

The Y-Fi OPA vertically integrated, collinear optical parametric amplifier is pumped by the company's Y-Fi HP. The pulse duration of the 1035 nm-centered Y-Fi HP results in both a stable, coherent white light seed source and a high conversion efficiency into the shortwave (1250–1800 nm) and midwave (2.4–4.4 μm) infrared (SWIR and MWIR). High repetition-rate capabilities (1–2 MHz) give hundreds of milliwatts of usable average power in the SWIR and MWIR with megawatt-class pulse peak power.
