Photonics West 2017

Feb. 20, 2017

SPIE Photonics West 2017 was bigger and busier than ever, with approximately 23,000 total attendance and nearly 1,400 exhibiting companies. The weekend BiOS Expo drew 210-plus exhibitors as it captured the excitement of new products and technologies for biophotonics. In total there were over 5000 technical presentations across the three major symposia: BiOS, LASE, and OPTO, as well as special symposia on the Brain, Translational Research, and 3D Printing.

So many new products using lasers, optics, fiber optics, and imaging technologies were introduced that it was hard to keep track. The conference and exhibitions ran from January 27 through February 2, in San Francisco’s Moscone Center.
