Refractive-index quantification system uses a thermal immersion method

March 7, 2021
The rIQ 2.0 refractive-index quantification system determines the refractive index of glass.

The rIQ 2.0 refractive-index quantification system determines the refractive index of glass. Designed for forensic scientists, the automated system uses a thermal immersion method, defined by ASTM E1967, to measure the refractive index of multiple microscopic glass fragments simultaneously. It can be used as a standalone package or as an add-on to a microspectrophotometer.
