    The FITEL S185 series of fusion splicers from Furukawa Electric is designed to provide precision and low splice loss for splicing in small optical assemblies. The S185HS and S185PM are designed for high-strength and polarization-maintaining fibers from 80 to 150 µm. The S185LDF and S185PMLDF are for fibers with diameters from 80 to 500 µm.
