Cobolt offers fiber pigtailed laser option for Raman spectroscopy

March 1, 2011
A true fiber pigtailed option for the 04-01 Series single longitudinal mode lasers from Cobolt offers fixed single-mode/polarization-maintaining (SM/PM) fiber inside the package using proprietary HTCure technology, enabling output power of 100:1 polarization extinction ratio.

A true fiber pigtailed option for the 04-01 Series single longitudinal mode lasers from Cobolt (Stockholm, Sweden) offers fixed single-mode/polarization-maintaining (SM/PM) fiber inside the package using proprietary HTCure technology, enabling output power of <3% over 8 hours and a >100:1 polarization extinction ratio. Output powers—which are specified out of the fiber—range between 25–200 mW, depending on the wavelength. Applications include Raman spectroscopy and fluorescence analysis.

PRESS RELEASE

True fiber pigtailed option for Cobolt 04-01 Series lasers

Cobolt, Swedish manufacturer of high performance DPSS lasers, announces the release of a true fiber pigtailed option for the Cobolt 04-01 Series of single longitudinal mode lasers. In this compact and robust fiber delivery option, the SM/PM fiber is fixed inside the hermetically sealed package using proprietary HTCure technology resulting in a permanently aligned, true fiber pigtailed laser with extremely stable output power (<3% over 8hrs) and excellent polarization extinction ratio (>100:1).

This true fiber pigtailed option is intended for either scientific use with standard SM/PM fiber and FC/APC connector or OEM use where type of fiber and connector can be customised. Output powers range between 25-200 mW (depending on the wavelength) and are specified out of the fiber. The option is available on all Cobolt CW Visible 04-01 Series: Cobolt Twist 457 nm <http://www.cobolt.se/cobolttwist457nm.html> , Cobolt Blues 473 nm <http://www.cobolt.se/coboltblues473nm.html> , Cobolt Calypso 491 nm <http://www.cobolt.se/coboltcalypso491nm.html> , Cobolt Fandango 515 nm <http://www.cobolt.se/coboltfandango515nm.html> , Cobolt Samba 532 nm <http://www.cobolt.se/coboltsamba532nmlaser.html> , Cobolt Jive 561 nm <http://www.cobolt.se/coboltjive561nm.html> and Cobolt Mambo 594 nm <http://www.cobolt.se/coboltmambo594nm.html>.
