Simulation software

May 1, 1996
A series of optoelectronic device-simulation software is available for lasers, LEDs, optical amplifiers, and integrated optics, as well as for semiconductor devices such as MOSFETs, bipolar transistors, HBTs, photodetectors, and CCDs. Three programs, LASTIP, DILAS-II, and PICS3D are used for diode lasers (including DFB, DBR, and VCSEL lasers). The APSYS program models the electronics and detectors. The programs include drift-diffusion and hydro dynamic-based finite element analysis.
