High-optical-power, uncooled, Telcordia-qualified, non-hermetic 1310 nm CW lasers and laser arrays have uses in silicon photonics-based transceivers used for 100 Gbit/s applications. They provide optical power output of 40 to 70 mW for both NRZ and PAM-4 modulation, and use automated laser attach and alignment methods.
