• Expanding welding and cutting offerings, Lincoln Electric makes two acquisitions

    Welding and cutting systems maker Lincoln Electric (Cleveland, OH) has acquired Coldwater Machine Company (Coldwater, OH), Pro Systems (Churubusco, IN), and related assets. The acquisitions accelerate growth and expand the company's portfolio of automated cutting and joining solutions.

    Coldwater Machine Company is a flexible automation integrator and precision machining and assembly manufacturer that serves diverse end markets using joining technologies such as laser and friction welding. Pro Systems is an automation systems designer, and integrator that serves automotive, industrial, electrical, and medical applications.

    The two companies' expertise and experience accelerate Lincoln Electric's automation strategy and expands its presence in aerospace and appliance end market applications, says Christopher L. Mapes, chairman, president, and CEO of Lincoln Electric.

    Combined annual revenue is approximately $55 million. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
