EB Industries has installed a new Trumpf TruLaser Cell 3000 with a TruDisk 4001 laser, adding to its laser cutting capabilities.

EB Industries (Farmingdale, NY), which provides electron beam and laser processing services, has installed a new Trumpf TruLaser Cell 3000 with a TruDisk 4001 laser, adding to its laser cutting capabilities. This purchase is part of a strategic initiative focusing on expanding the company's capabilities for processing large quantities of parts quickly and at high levels of quality in a cost-effective manner.

This 5-axis laser machine, for two- and three-dimensional cutting and welding operations, has advanced automation that simplifies programming and setup, minimizing downtime and ensuring quick job changeover. The disk laser combines the advantages of solid-state and diode lasers with the disk guaranteeing brilliant beam quality, while the diode laser pump source provides high excitation energy for efficient cutting and welding. The disk laser can also process highly reflective materials such as copper and brass. The system can handle sheet metal cutting, brazing, welding, 3D part formation, and additive manufacturing, among other uses—all at high speeds with high precision.
