Mountain View, CA -- Producer of short pulsed fiber laser sources, Mobius Photonics, has named Kohei Yamashita to its board of directors.
Yamashita’s extensive business experience spans industries from real estate to ceramic products manufacturing. He is currently president and CEO of Kokyo Tatemono Co., Ltd. and holds CEO and other senior positions at several of its affiliated companies. Mr. Yamashita is a founder of companies such as Kokyo Building Maintenance Co., Ltd. and Japan Medical Services, Inc., among others. He is also chairman of the non-profit organization Japan Medics Support.
Founded in 2005, Mobius Photonics, Inc. produces fiber-based laser sources for applications ranging from material processing for solar cell manufacturing, semiconductor fabrication and assembly, and flat panel display manufacturing, to scientific uses such as super-resolution microscopy. The Mobius Photonics team combines in-depth understanding of customer needs with manufacturing experience, and pushes the state-of-the-art by working in close collaboration with suppliers and customers around the world.
