Skylark Lasers appoints Christopher Madin as new CEO
Edinburgh, UK – June 25, 2025, Skylark Lasers a designer and manufacturer of high performance single frequency diode-pumped solid-state lasers, today announced the appointment of Christopher Madin as its new Chief Executive Officer.
Christopher brings over 20 years of leadership experience in the photonics and laser instrumentation industry, having previously been Managing Director at Qioptiq Photonics Ltd. and CEO of KLASTECH GmbH.
Christopher has extensive experience in building global sales channels, managing new product development and driving operational excellence in high growth photonics environments particularly across semiconductor inspection and life science instrumentation sectors.
Notably, he led Qioptiq Photonics Ltd. through a rapid growth and transformation program as part of a significant contract with a key semiconductor customer. As CEO of KLASTECH he successfully led the company through its acquisition by a U.S.-based photonics company — a strategic transaction that integrated KLASTECH’s advanced DPSS laser technology into the product portfolio, transferring the operations to their corporate headquarters in the USA.
