    The Spero quantum cascade laser (QCL)-based infrared (IR) microscope has uses in applications such as tissue diagnostics, drug discovery, materials research, and semiconductor defect analysis. The microscope enables modalities such as real-time chemical imaging and rapid sparse data collection. It features the company's ChemVision control and analysis software and a small desktop footprint, and requires no cryogenic cooling.
