LEJ, Carl Zeiss Microscopy partner on LED fluorescence excitation
Leistungselektronik Jena (LEJ) and Carl Zeiss Microscopy (both in Jena, Germany) have signed a license agreement in which LEJ received a license to the US 6154282 A and CA 2280398 C patents relating to LED fluorescence excitation in microscopy.
The license covers LEJ's comprehensive range of LED fluorescence excitation solutions to be sold in the U.S. and Canada, including the LH-LED 100 lamp house, LQ-LED 180 six-channel light source, and LQ-LED-8c eight-channel LED light source (now lining up for shipment to North America). By granting the license by Carl Zeiss, LEJ's product range becomes available to all microscope users, increasing their possibilities in routine as well as demanding fluorescence microscopy applications.
