The STS microspectrometer measures 40 × 42 × 24 mm and performs across the UV (190–650 nm), visible (350–800 nm), and NIR (650–1100 nm). Signal-to-noise performance and photometric accuracy are comparable to benchtop instruments. A developer's kit comprising the spectrometer, a microcomputer, customizable software, and wireless capabilities is available for integration into a variety of laboratory, process monitoring, and environmental applications. Utilities include regular lab use or as a system for integrating into handheld devices for light metrology, color measurement, and mounting onto UAVs for remote monitoring.
