    Low-cost 1300-nm multiple-quantum-well diode lasers are available in both pigtailed and connectorized versions designed for use by original equipment manufacturers. The lasers offer u¥to 2 mW of coupled power and modulation rates that permit data transmission at speeds u¥to 1.2 Gbit/s. The telecommunications and data-communications lasers have an operating temperature range from -10°C to 40°C.
