Zinc sulfide (ZnS) windows that conform to MIL-PRF-13830 have use in multispectral military vision systems from 0.35 to 12 µm.

Zinc sulfide (ZnS) windows that conform to MIL-PRF-13830 have use in multispectral military vision systems from 0.35 to 12 µm. Water-clear and fracture-resistant, they are fabricated in sizes from 0.5 to 3.0 in. O.D. with typical tolerances of ±0.001 to ±0.005 in. Manufactured using Hot Isostatic Pressing (HIP), they feature λ/4 and λ/10 surfaces and finishes to 10-5 scratch-dig.
