September 12, 2007--ALAC World Laser 2007, scheduled for September 24-26 in Burlington, MA, will include a session on medical device manufacturing and processes.

The session will include presentations on laser transmission welding of plastic foils for medical devices, laser welding of miniature components for implantable medical devices, laser processing of shape memory alloys for the development of implantable components, precision laser machining for biomedical engineering, laser MicroJet technology, options for increasing reliability of laser spot welds in medical devices, and laser marking and engraving with integrated, through-the-lens vision.
