SALA announces industrial laser applications seminar

Dec. 22, 2009
The 5th Symposium for Advanced Laser Applications (SALA) conference has been expanded to include, in addition to laser drilling of aerospace components, a wide range of laser processes being used by manufacturers for the aerospace and other industries.

On April 14–15, 2010, at Rentschler Field in East Hartford, CT, The Connecticut Center for Advanced Technology (CCAT) will present the 5th Symposium for Advanced Laser Applications (SALA). This conference has been expanded to include, in addition to laser drilling of aerospace components, a wide range of laser processes being used by manufacturers for the aerospace and other industries. Since its inception SALA events have hosted over 450 participants from North America and Europe. At the April 2010 event technical presentations will range from the use of lasers in percussion hole drilling by OEMs to paint removal for Air Force hardware.

SALA 2010, a two-day conference, will cover a wide range of applied laser technologies for the aerospace industry that also apply to other manufacturing sectors. The agenda will include sessions on:

--Laser Drilling
--Laser Cutting
--Laser Welding
--Laser Additive Manufacturing
--Laser Surface Treatment and Coating Removal

In addition to the technical presentations, SALA 2010 will host tabletop displays by more than two dozen laser vendors, optics suppliers, support equipment, laser systems, and small and medium manufacturers for the aerospace and other industry sectors.

Industrial Laser Solutions (ILS) will act as the Exclusive Media Sponsor and the Laser Institute of America (LIA) has been contracted to handle all Registrations in helping to promote SALA 2010.

Your registration includes the two-day program, continental breakfast and lunch (both days), and the Opening Night Reception. Visit www.ccat.us for complete registration information.

This is a non-ITAR international conference with speakers and participants from the U.S. and abroad.
