AWL-Techniek has received the "Outstanding sales and partnership with ABB to attain the 250,000 robots milestone" award from ABB Robotics.

Baden, Switzerland - Each year, ABB Robotics celebrates the contributions and successes of their value providers and customers at their Value Provider Conferences and Customer Days—events that give them their partners access to the newest technology via live robotics demonstrations, business updates and breakout sessions.

The company takes the opportunity at these events to hand out awards to partners whose contributions have resulted in unique and innovative robotic automation solutions, and have made an especially positive impact on the company's ability to reach more end customers. This year, the awards at their 2014 European Value Provider Conference and Customer Day, held in Barcelona, Spain, from June 17-19, 2014, were especially relevant in that they coincided with their 40-year anniversary and delivery of their 250,000th robot.

Automated welding technology developer AWL-Techniek (Harderwijk, The Netherlands) was one of six partners to win an award at this year's award ceremony. The company's creative machine concepts greatly contribute to the effectiveness, reliability, ergonomics, machine intelligence, and safety of some of the world's most advanced welding systems. To that end, the company has received the "Outstanding sales and partnership with ABB to attain the 250,000 robots milestone" award from ABB Robotics, which was presented by ABB Robotics president Per Vegard Nersith.

In 2011, the company honored AWL-Techniek with an award for the "Best Achievement in long term partnership and business development in Welding Solution."
