Wuhan, China - Recently, Wuhan Raycus Fiber Laser Technologies Co. Ltd. (Wuhan Raycus) was advised by the Hubei Provincial Development and Reform Commission that its Laser Engineering R&D Center is now the Hubei Provincial Engineering R&D Center. At the same time, the opening ceremony for the High Power Fiber Lasers R&D Base (Stage I) of Wuhan Raycus was held in the Future Technology City, which is an important Economic Development Zone in Wuhan.
Wuhan Raycus' R&D base is a key project of Wuhan’s photo-electrical industry, with a total investment of RMB 268 million (about US$43 million). Once completed, the project will become the largest R&D and production base for high power fiber lasers in China.
At the opening ceremony, Yang Hongyuan, GM of Raycus, said that the opening of the base would promote the development of Raycus and was confident in guaranteeing the quality of the project and its on-time completion. Ming Ming, vice director of the Future Technology City, said the project would play an important role in the development of the city, and he expected that Raycus would lead the way for China’s photo-electrical industry in respect to talent training and R&D.
