Electro Scientific Industries (ESI; Portland, OR) has introduced its Garnet adaptable laser micromachining platform for high-volume cutting, marking, drilling, or engraving applications. The platform's 300 × 300mm stage optimizes production and service when working with large-format materials. Its versatile base frame is capable of multiple laser engine and optics combinations, and can be configured and delivered rapidly to meet the short product ramp times of contract manufacturers in China.
