US Secretary of Labor Tom Perez visited industrial laser supplier LNA Laser Technology’s Pawtucket facility.

Pawtucket, RI - US Secretary of Labor Tom Perez visited industrial laser supplier LNA Laser Technology’s Pawtucket facility for discussions on paid leave, part of the #LeadOnLeave tour. Hosted by US Representative David Cicilline, other key political figures in attendance were US Senator Jack Reed, Congressman Jim Langevin, RI State Senator Gayle Goldin, RI Dept. of Labor & Training Director Scott Jensen, District 1199 SEIU Executive Vice President Patrick Quinn, and Rhode Island AFL-CIO President George Nee.

LNA Laser President Dan Gold gave a tour of the facility to Secretary Perez and the other Congressional Guests. The delegation also were shown a demonstration of robotic laser marking for high-throughput industrial applications.

Gold commented on the local, state, and national economy. He further spoke about the growth of LNA Laser: “As a result of the growing demand of our laser technology, we are in the process of hiring numerous additional engineers and technicians.”
