Line scan cameras for OCT by Teledyne e2v

May 8, 2017
The OctoPlus line scan cameras for optical coherence tomography (OCT) applications are based on new image sensor pixel architecture.

The OctoPlus line scan cameras for optical coherence tomography (OCT) applications from Teledyne e2v (Milpitas, CA) are based on new image sensor pixel architecture to provide accurate images of the retina and cornea, map tissue structure, measure thickness, and visualize blood flow dynamics for diagnostics. Features include a 250% larger field of view compared to commercial swept-source OCT (SS-OCT) and a +5 dB signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) in comparison with spectral-domain OCT (SD-OCT) equipment. They also save 60% of the power used by previous designs, reducing heat generation, improving the stability of OCT equipment, and increasing maintenance intervals.
