Fiber fusion splicer
The Fusion 2500 automatic fiberoptic fusion splicer incorporates simultaneous two-axis viewing of the fibers. The splicer includes a wide-angle-viewing video monitor on a omnidirectional swivel mount, which shows two 65X views of the fiber. A video output port allows the user to display the images on an external monitor. The device can splice a wide variety of fibers automatically and with accurate loss estimates, including single-mode, multimode, erbium-doped, large-core, polyimide-coated, hermetic, and Titan fibers.
