Laservision USA Acquires Innovative Optics and Innovative Laser Safety
St. Paul, MN – August 1, 2025 – Laservision USA, a subsidiary of the Uvex Safety Group - Germany and a global leader in laser safety protection and training, is pleased to announce the acquisition of Innovative Optics (IO) and its industrial division, Innovative Laser Safety (ILS), effective August 1, 2025.
This acquisition significantly enhances Laservision’s ability to serve a wider range of markets, including a strategic expansion into the rapidly growing medical and aesthetic laser safety space—while reinforcing its position as the one of the largest laser safety manufacturers and suppliers in the World.

About the Acquisition
Founded in 1993, Innovative Optics brings over three decades of experience designing and manufacturing advanced laser safety eyewear and patient protection devices for the medical, dental, and aesthetic treatment markets. Their ILS division supplies specialized laser safety solutions—including barriers, windows, and enclosures—for industrial, educational, military, and research applications.
Andrew Barrows, former CEO of Innovative Optics and a recognized leader in the laser safety space, will join Laservision as Director of Sales and Product Development. His leadership and insight into the laser aesthetics industry—combined with a deep understanding of safety protocols and user needs—will be instrumental in expanding Laservision’s reach and product development into new global markets.
