    A particle- image-velocimetry (PIV) system, measures air and fluid flows using a digital imaging camera and computer modeling. The visible industrial laser provides 10-ns-long pulses in a plane, which illuminates particles in the flow. The system uses a Kodak MegaPlus digital camera to capture 1024 ¥ 1024-pixel images of the illuminated particles.
