tec5USA to intro OEM spectrometer at Strategies in Biophotonics 2014

Sept. 5, 2014
The CGS CCD OEM spectrometer performs ultraviolet-near-infrared (UV-NIR) spectral data acquisition.

The CGS CCD OEM spectrometer performs ultraviolet-near-infrared (UV-NIR) spectral data acquisition. Based on the Zeiss CGS optical engine and tec5's SEU electronics, the spectrometer covers a spectral range from 200 to 1000 nm with a resolution of approximately 2 nm in the UV-VIS and 3.5 nm in the NIR. It combines the Hamamatsu S11156 back-thinned CCD array with a UV-blazed, holographically recorded grating/mirror design for UV sensitivity. An SMA optical input accepts fiber-optic light guides up to 600 µm in diameter and a numerical aperture of approximately 0.22. The spectrometer's compact size enables use in portable and handheld instruments.
