Premier awards EndoChoice with contract for endoscopy equipment, products, and services
EndoChoice Holdings (Alpharetta, GA) has been awarded a three-year contract for endoscopy products, services, and infection control products by the group-purchasing unit of healthcare improvement provider Premier Inc. (Charlotte, NC), effective February 1, 2016, through January 31, 2019.

Under the terms of the contract, EndoChoice's Fuse full-spectrum endoscopy system will be available to Premier member facilities. The Fuse flexible endoscopy system provides a panoramic 330° field of view to physicians, and clinical data showed a reduction in the number of missed adenomas during colonoscopies. The Fuse gastroscope provides a 245° field of view for upper endoscopy procedures. These expanded and wide-angle views are possible because the Fuse colonoscope uses three cameras and two on the gastroscope—previously, Premier members only had access to single-imager endoscopes from other companies.
EndoChoice's CinchPad and EndoKit infection control products are also part of the new contract. Endoscopy procedures involve long, slender cameras that are placed in patients to diagnose and treat a wide range of gastrointestinal conditions and diseases, including cancer, and the products prevent cross-contamination between patients prior to, during and after each procedure.
The company's flexible endoscope repair services are part of the contract as well, which allows Premier members to have their endoscopes serviced by EndoChoice master technicians.
