Rochester, NY--Germanow-Simon Corporation, which consists of polymer optics specialist G-S Plastic Optics and test and measurement solutions maker Tel-Tru Manufacturing Company, celebrated the completion of a $3.25 million upgrade to the company’s facilities in a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The construction project started in September 2011, which included doubling space for injection molding and quality assurance operations, improving the functionality and cleanliness for those spaces, making the buildings more energy-efficient, and creating an overall environment that reflected and was appropriate for the high-tech components and products that the two companies manufacture. The renovated and expanded space will help the two companies to serve customers' needs for expanded production capacity in the future.

Germanow-Simon Corporation currently employs 93 people. At the beginning of the project they employed 77 people, and are projecting 25 new jobs within the next five years.
