PRESS RELEASE

Laser Light Solutions Releases World’s Highest Power Near-IR Single Mode Laser
Enables Next Generation Spectroscopy, Instrumentation, Printing, Illumination, and Gesture Applications

Somerset, NJ, October 5, 2011 – Laser Light Solutions, Inc. (LLS), a world leader in custom laser components and system integration, announced today the commercial release of the SM300 series, the world’s highest power near-infrared single mode laser diodes. The lasers enable next generation applications in Raman spectroscopy, atomic and molecular physics, bio-instrumentation, reprographics, defense and security illumination, and consumer electronics gesture. LLS will introduce the product on October 5, 2011 to the spectroscopy community at the FACSS conference in Reno, NV (Federation of Analytical Chemistry and Spectroscopy Societies).

The high power, single mode operation from the SM300 series offers substantial benefit to the end user including higher throughput, increased signal to noise, higher speed measurements, longer range, and increased resolution. Additionally, the compact, rugged high power single-device design eliminates the need for bulky dual-stage high power amplifier designs which are both expensive and fragile.

The SM300 series lasers feature more than 300 mW of kink-free, single mode, continuous wave power at 780 – 800 nm with higher power capability at longer wavelengths out to 1100 nm. The devices exhibit excellent reliability and are packaged in an industry standard hermetically sealed 9 mm diameter TO-9 can package. Commercial sales of the product are now underway, and device shipments have been initiated. For additional information including access to the SM300 series product datasheet, contact the company at [email protected] or 1-732-979-2143.
