Washington, DC--Beginning in 2011, grants of up to three hundred dollars ($300 USD) per calendar year are available to assist Optical Society (OSA) members who are bringing children to selected OSA-sponsored meetings or conferences or who incur extra expenses in leaving them at home (for example, extra day-care or babysitting services).
Grants may be used for a single meeting or may be divided between eligible conferences during the calendar year. Funds will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis, so apply now to receive a grant in 2011.
