Field-emission-display test production line to be built in Japan
Futaba (Chiba, Japan) will install a field-emission-display test assembly line at its research center. According to company sources, while research into field-emission technology for flat-panel displays is ongoing worldwide, Futaba`s test line is the first targeted to develo¥a specific product. The company hopes to have production samples available for evaluation by fall of next year. Futaba has a technical development arrangement for field-emission displays with Pixel International (Rousset, France).
