    A chi¥set for multiplexing signals over OC-192 SONET standard communications lines allows serial data transmission at 10 Gbit/s. The VSC8071 and VSC8072 chi¥set includes a fully integrated 16:1 multiplexer and demultiplexer. The chips are made using the H-GaAs IV production process, which allows them to be integrated as a megacell in the company`s GLX gate array.
