November 5, 2008--Machine-vision-systems supplier Cognex (Natick, MA) announced a new series of free machine-vision seminars exclusively for manufacturing professionals. According to Cognex, the half-day event will show how easy it is to set up and deploy vision systems for automated inspection tasks in the automotive, pharmaceutical, food, beverage, consumer packaged goods, medical, and electronics industries.
Each seminar will combine a machine-vision basics tutorial with live vision-system demonstrations of a simple, four-step process for setting up a machine-vision application with Cognex's EasyBuilder software for the company's line of In-Sight vision systems. The tutorial will cover how vision systems work in manufacturing applications to accurately inspect, guide, and identify products in order to reduce production costs and achieve a high level of product quality.
In addition to walking away with an understanding of the fundamentals of implementing a successful vision solution, participants will learn how machine vision has been transformed into a much more affordable and accessible solution, says Cognex.
Attendees are encouraged to bring a product sample and discuss their application with a Cognex engineer.
The seminars run through December, 2008 and are held in major cities throughout the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. Readers can register for a seminar online at http://www.cognex.com/seminar or by calling 1-800-677-2646.
