As a staff scientist at TelAztec, Stephen Consoles focuses on novel nanotexture-based antireflection (AR) technology intended for high-power laser optics from research discovery into high volume and commercial production. His work has included optimizing optical performance of the AR nanotexture in various optical materials and transitioning that process into a high-yield, high-volume, repeatable manufacturing process. Stephen has also coordinated the establishment of a robust quality control system that is now employed in TelAztec’s production of RAR nanotextured optics.
“I’m so excited about this,” he says. “It makes me feel validated in my work, and it’s important work. We have a really unique enabling technology for the next generation of high-energy lasers. It will be great to increase the diversity and growth of these technologies.”
He holds a master’s degree in Engineering Management from Tufts University.
