Precitec to showcase 3D metal printing head at SPIE Photonics West 2018

Jan. 23, 2018
The CoaxPrinter 3D metal printing head for wire-based laser cladding enables multidirectional wire processing.

The CoaxPrinter 3D metal printing head for wire-based laser cladding enables multidirectional wire processing. It processes most solid or flux-cored wire for welding or soldering applications in standard dimensions. The processing head is also compatible with common multi-kilowatt fiber-coupled diode lasers with a core diameter of 0.6 mm and power of 6 kW. Standard industrial robots or portal systems serve as a manipulator.
