A line of superluminescent LEDs provides >20 mW of power at 840 nm for medical imaging applications.

A line of superluminescent LEDs provides >20 mW of power at 840 nm for medical imaging applications such as optical coherence tomography or multimodal imaging systems, surgical ophthalmic systems, and fiber-optic sensor applications. The LEDs allow more asymmetric splitting ratios in the interferometer and lower losses for the received signal.
