Houston, TX--The Laser Institute of America (LIA)'s 4th Laser Additive Manufacturing Workshop (LAM), to be held February 29–March 1 in Houston, will tackle cladding and rapid manufacturing and how to apply it effectively and affordably to today's manufacturing challenges, says LIA.
Paul Denney, Lincoln Electric Company (Cleveland, OH), will take the reins as the workshop's general chair, while Bill Shiner of IPG Photonics (Oxford, MA) will serve as as sponsor committee chair. Topics to be presented include the future of laser additive manufacturing; high-speed laser additive manufacturing; applications in direct part manufacturing; cladding for the oil and gas industries; laser sintering; injection molding; wear and corrosion protection; hot wire cladding applications; and powder delivery systems.
