Mass production of VCSELs and VCSEL arrays are being produced for autofocus of cell phone cameras and tablets. Designed to replace an IR LED in any active optical sensor, single emitters and arrays are offered in die sizes from 190 × 190 μm up to 500 × 500 μm, and are offered at 850 and 940 nm.
