A 150 W, 1480 nm Raman fiber laser module is designed to serve as a high-brightness pump source for other fiber and solid-state lasers. It pushes the performance of Raman lasers designed for pumping erbium-doped fiber amplifiers (EDFAs). Additional applications include next-generation LiDAR and free-space optical communications.
