Evosys expands in U.S. and China

May 24, 2021
The aim of both branches is to be able to support international customers directly in their regions, each with their own laboratories and service technicians on site.

Laser welding of plastics is enjoying increased acceptance in global manufacturing applications. After a successful year, Evosys (Suzhou) Laser System (Suzhou, China), a manufacturer of tailor-made systems for laser welding of plastics, has expanded in China and Evosys North America (Auburn Hills, MI) has moved a new location. The aim of both branches is to be able to support international customers directly in the region. With their own laboratories and service technicians on site, this is now guaranteed.

In 2018, the branch in China opened together with its Chinese partner DCT Co Ltd. Its technical center, which is equipped with a laser welding machine and the necessary measuring equipment to check weld seams, allows customers to have test welds performed on components within a very short time. The scope of services is complemented by experienced service technicians who take care of the systems at customers premises, from commissioning to regular maintenance. The Evosys Group in North America has also moved into new premises in Auburn Hills, MI, with floor space of over 2400 sq. ft. and its own technical center with experts on site to provide support in all project phases.

At our well-equipped location, we can better accommodate the importance of the North American economy and provide sufficient space for new challenges, explains Frank Brunnecker, Managing Director of Evosys Laser GmbH (Erlangen, Germany). Customer proximity is a decisive factor for Evosys, because the company pursues the approach of long-term and sustainable customer loyalty by always being in close contact with the customer in order to be able to quickly take up and implement new requirements and developments.

The Evosys Group currently consists of four companies: the parent company Evosys Laser GmbH, the subsidiary Evosys Laser Services GmbH, and the subsidiaries Evosys (Suzhou) Laser System Co., Ltd. in China and Evosys North America Corp. in the U.S.
