Additive manufacturing services provider Midwest Prototyping (Blue Mounds, WI) has achieved AS9100 Rev. D certification, the standard of operational excellence required for aviation and aerospace suppliers. Now, the company is able to manufacture flight-ready components on all its technologies at each of its production facilities.

Aviation-focused manufacturers and suppliers seeking AS9100-certified providers will be able to utilize all services offered at the company, including six distinct 3D printing processes such as selective laser sintering and stereolithography, as well as its finishing and post-processing, urethane casting, and CNC machining services. The offering will be available at the company's facilities in Blue Mounds, WI, and Westminster, CO.

The AS9100 Rev. D certification for the company builds onto its ISO 9001:2015 certified Quality Management System, which it achieved in 2017.

National Quality Associates, an independent accredited registrar, verified Midwest Prototyping’s compliance to the standard.
