Laser micromachining systems specialist Electro Scientific Industries (ESI; Portland, OR) has named Clifton Ho as its vice president of global sales and service, based in Asia. In his role, Ho will drive global sales strategies to generate demand and achieve revenue objectives across all of the company's products.
Ho brings a strong background in technology sales and sales leadership, with a focus on Asian markets—is experience includes nearly three decades in semiconductor-related sales and marketing in Asia. Prior to joining ESI, he spent seven years as vice president of Asia Pacific sales at Intersil, where he managed an extensive sales organization across Asia. Before joining Intersil, he served for eight years in various management roles at National Semiconductor, where he was general manager for China sales from 2006 to 2010, and director of marketing for Asia Pacific from 2002 to 2006. His other experience includes director of Asia sales at QuickLogic.
