SPI Lasers reports revenues up 100%

January 16--UK-based SPI Lasers has provided a trading update for the 12 month period to 31 December 2006

January 16--SPI Lasers reports revenues for the year ended 31 December 2006 will be in line with the market estimate of 7 million pounds, which represents 100% growth over the previous year's revenue.

In addition to the fixed orders of more than U.S.$2 million, announced on 30 November 2006, the company reports that it has received further orders and new framework agreements for more than U.S.$6 million in the medical, marking, and micro sectors.

SPI expects to ship these orders in the first half of 2007. In Q4 2006, the company began shipping its 200W products for micro. This trading update is ahead of the announcement of its Preliminary Results, which will be issued on 9 March 2007.
