Micronic Laser expands into USA

Micronic Laser Systems AB (Täby, Sweden), a maker of laser writers for the production of photomasks, has incorporated its US operation as Micronic Laser Systems Inc. (Menlo Park, CA) and named Jorge Foyer president. The company said the move was key to its goal of expanding in the semiconductor mask market. Freyer founded Etec Systems Inc. (Hayward, CA) in 1989, and has been a general partner of PacTech LLC (San Francisco, CA), a company specializing in business developments and investments in the semiconductor industry.
