Toptica welcomes Dr. Travis Bannerman as government labs accounts rep

Victor, NY--Toptica Photonics has hired Dr. Travis Bannerman as government labs accounts representative for western North America, a role in which he will focus on supporting the company's government labs and military contractors in that region.

Dr. Bannerman earned his BS in physics at California Institute of Technology (Caltech; Pasadena, CA), where he researched in Professor Jeff Kimble's quantum optics lab. He then moved to Austin, TX, to do his graduate research at the University of Texas in Professor Mark Raizen's group. Having been awarded a National Science Foundation fellowship, Dr. Bannerman then worked on implementing novel laser cooling techniques.
