Optics, photonics, and imaging to grace U of R tech showcase

Rochester, NY--The Center for Emerging and Innovative Sciences (CEIS) at the University of Rochester (U of R) will hold its annual University Technology Showcase on April 5, with approximately 30% of the poster presentations covering optics, imaging, and photonics research at the U of R, Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT), Cornell University, and Clarkson University.

Rochester, NY--The Center for Emerging and Innovative Sciences (CEIS) at the University of Rochester (U of R) will hold its annual University Technology Showcase on April 5, with approximately 30% of the poster presentations covering optics, imaging, and photonics research at the U of R, Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT), Cornell University (Ithaca, NY), and Clarkson University (Potsdam, NY). There will be 50 poster presentations in all on display, as well as talks by some of the state's leading technologists.

The showcase provides an opportunity for businesses to learn about the innovative research being conducted at these schools, as well as network with other industry participants and faculty researchers at the four schools.

Showcase attendance is free and open to the public, and will be held on Thursday, April 5, from 1–6 p.m. at the Rochester Doubletree Hotel in Henrietta, NY. For more information, please visit http://www.ceis.rochester.edu/pages/showcase2012.html.
