The Scirocco 1950 broadband thulium-doped fiber amplifier (TDFA) covers the 1920–2000 nm spectral window. The eye-safe TDFA is designed for amplification in fiber systems requiring a combination of high gain and low noise figure (NF). Up to 40 dB small signal gain and a 27 dB saturated gain are available at 1950 nm with an NF of <5 dB.
