Siskiyou to showcase single-mode fiber couplers at SPIE Photonics West 2016

A line of single-mode fiber couplers incorporates optics for focusing laser light into a FC connectorized single-mode fiber optic, together with tip/tilt mechanical adjustment to permit accurate positioning of the focused beam with respect to the fiber end.

A line of single-mode fiber couplers incorporates optics for focusing laser light into a FC connectorized single-mode fiber optic, together with tip/tilt mechanical adjustment to permit accurate positioning of the focused beam with respect to the fiber end. Ultra-high-resolution, differential adjusters (2.75 arcsec movement per 5° adjuster rotation), together with a mechanical design that decouples tip/tilt adjustment from focus, enables optimum coupling efficiency into single-mode fibers in a very small volume. The system can also be used in reverse for high-precision collimation of single-mode fiber output.
